【国际演出】El Niño 顽世吥工- 布莱顿梦境艺术节 恶孩子们来袭不列颠

英国文化教育协会（British Council）近期公布第40轮中英文化连线基金

（Connections through Culture Grants）获奖项目，支持中英文化机构与从业者建立合作关系、推动行业交流与共同开发艺术项目。

马丁·戈雅生意与英国videoclub荣幸成为 第40轮中英文化连线基金 共同获奖项目之一，并将携手数位中国年轻一代数字媒体艺术家及音乐人分别在英国布莱顿以及中国合作呈现两场展览演出。

合作的首场活动由马丁·戈雅生意犁鼻器V33N0及联合主理人之一TAOPH策划，邀请了共6位中国年轻一代的艺术家及音乐人，将于10月19至22日，在英国布莱顿Dreamy Place Festival梦境艺术节，遍布全城三处地标，呈现放映及演出项目「El Niño 顽世吥工」。

MARTIN GOYA BUSINESS and the videoclub UK are delighted to be one of the co-winners of the 40th round of the Connections through Culture Grants and will collaborate with new media artists and musicians in Brighton, UK, and China to present two exhibitions and performances.

The first collaborative event, curated by MARTIN GOYA BUSINESS and V33N0, will feature six young Chinese artists and musicians. From October 19th to 22nd, they will showcase screening and performance project El Niño 顽世吥工 at the Dreamy Place Festival in Brighton, UK, taking place at three prominent locations throughout the city.

除了CHILLCHILL、GUAN、LazyBackHome及 Zhu Jinkun的数部影像作品放映，艺术家Uan将携带她的软雕塑装置，与影像结合在放映现场呈现沉浸式体验。19号的夜晚我们会攻占位于布莱顿中心的教堂，由GUAN与Limbolimbs带来如以往硬核高速的音乐，而LazyBackHome及CHILLCHILL将颠覆我们熟知的视觉艺术家身份，化身多媒体创作者，进行audio visual 演出，派对音乐视觉支持则由Zhu Jinkun展现多元输出。

这也将是马丁·戈雅生意继分别于法国巴黎，澳大利亚墨尔本，美国纽约，意大利米兰的展演后呈现的最大规模的后疫情时代国际项目。

In addition to screenings of works by CHILLCHILL, GUAN, LazyBackHome, and Zhu Jinkun, artist Uan will present her soft sculpture installations, creating an immersive experience at the screening venue. On the night of the 19th, they will take over a church in the heart of Brighton, where GUAN and Limbolimbs will deliver their signature hardcore high-speed music, while LazyBackHome and CHILLCHILL will transform their identities as visual artists into multimedia creators, performing audio-visual sets. Zhu Jinkun will provide diverse visual support for the party's music.

This is also the largest international project presented by MARTIN GOYA BUSINESS since post-pandemic times, following previous exhibitions in Paris, France, Melbourne, Australia, New York, USA, and Milan, Italy.

CHILLCHILL

CHILLCHILL 是一位围绕城市生活/ 第三世界/亚文化展开艺术实践的数字艺术家，他用自己 独特的幽默感将虚拟世界和他生活的现实世界融合在一起，他将自己的作品称为“关于现实主义的音视觉脱口秀 ”。他致力于游戏引擎实时渲染的影像和现场表演。

作品《亚洲共享天堂II》获得 Nowness Talent Project Award (2019)提名。影片《缸中之脑》《SHAMAN》《Runway》等作品在NOWNESS ASIA平台推荐发布。与音乐人Alex Wang、GUAN进行Audio Visual Live 《A Brave new world》《The Garden》等巡回演出。

CHILLCHILL is an artist whose art practice revolves around urban life, third world and subculture. He uses his unique sense of humour to mix the virtual world and the real world he lives in. He mentions his work as a “stand-up show about realism”. He works on 3D rendered moving images and live performances with real- time rendering by game engines.

His work Asian Sharing Heaven II was nominated for the Nowness Talent Project Award (2019).  Video works Brain in a Vat, SHAMAN, Runway have been screened on NOWNESS ASIA. Toured with musician Alex Wang and Guan with themes A Brave New World and The Garden.

GUAN

GUAN，管博扬，杭州的电子音乐制作人及数字媒体艺术家，现为摩登天空旗下艺人，以独特的数码反乌托邦美学在中国音乐场景中站稳脚跟。毕业于中国美术学院，他在对声音与其它媒介的把玩中形成了自己的奇特思路，以人机关系为核心批判性地看待数字社会。GUAN的作品是癫狂的，音乐类型以融合、多变著称，在对未来变异生物的想象中创建一套“高科技自然主义”的声音体系，激进的声音实验塑造出一个个疯癫且有机的的诡谲景象。

GUAN的创作载体不仅显于音乐，对多种工具、材料的批判性探索也时常作为创作出发点。演出形式横跨Audio-Visual、模块合成器Live、DJ。已在摩登天空、FunctionLab、美丽唱片等发行全长专辑3张及若干EP。

GUAN, Guan Boyang, is an electronic music producer and digital media artist from Hangzhou. He is currently signed under the Modern Sky label and has established himself firmly in the Chinese music scene with his unique digital dystopian aesthetics. Graduating from the China Academy of Art, he has developed his own distinctive approach to sound and other mediums, critically examining the relationship between humans and technology in the digital society. GUAN's work is characterized by its eccentricity and is known for its fusion and versatility in musical genres. Through his imaginative exploration of future mutant organisms, he has created a "high-tech naturalism" sound system, where radical sonic experiments shape bizarre and organic landscapes.

GUAN's creative expression extends beyond music, often incorporating critical explorations of various tools and materials as starting points for his work. His performances span across audio-visual showcases, modular synthesizer live sets, and DJ performances. He has released 3 albums and several Eps with Modern Sky, FunctionLab, Beautiful Records.

LazyBackHome

出⽣于1998年，混合媒介艺术家，目前就读于伦敦艺术⼤学，伦敦传媒学院。

她的创作源于对⽹络社会⾏为的观察，艺术家试图将这种观察解构并以拼贴的⽅式具像化该信息时代的碎⽚化特征，其创作是⼀种根植在互联⽹社会语境之下，对媒体、权威与个体之间三⽅关系的窥探。艺术家常常习惯于以⼀种童话般的叙事⽅式展开对严肃话题的讨论，试图拨开被过度包装的新⽹路技术的外⾐，直击“⼈”作为⽹络社会最基础的构成因⼦的本质，⽽其创作媒介也是现场表演、数字影像、平⾯雕塑及版画的多线程叙事。

曾⼊围The Wrong 数字艺术双年展，弗洛伦萨双年展，并于2022年举办三⼈个展“谁说真实未必虚幻”，作品曾展览于东京⼤⽥秀则画廊、Ars Electronica“Yami-Ichi”，威尼斯军械库，并于2023年在上海斯沃琪和平饭店艺术中⼼驻留。

Born in 1998, this interdisciplinary artist is pursuing a Master's degree at the University of the Arts London, London College of Communication. 

Her creative process is rooted in the observation of online social behaviors. Through her art, she attempts to deconstruct these observations and visually represent the fragmented nature of the information era through collage. Her work delves into the triangular relationship among media, authority, and individuals, deeply embedded in the context of the internet society.

The artist often employs a fairytale-like narrative approach to discuss serious topics, aiming to unveil the essence of "humanity" as a fundamental building block of the online society, while stripping away the superficial appearances of heavily packaged new web technologies. Her creative mediums encompass live performances, digital imagery, 2D sculptures, and print, all woven together in a multi-threaded narrative.

She was a finalist in The Wrong Digital Art Biennale and the Florence Biennale. In 2022, she held a solo exhibition titled “Its all TURE,MAN,” and her works have been displayed at venues such as the OTA FINE ART Gallery, Ars Electronica's "Yami-Ichi," and the Venetian Arsenal. In 2023, she conducted a residency at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel Art Center in Shanghai.

Limbolimbs

LimboLimbs，来自北京的音乐制作人。擅长在自己的作品中加入爵士元素及多种奇怪音声采样。喜好口味时而善变时而固执，在老派与新式之间游移不定，并不断在这之间探索可以让自己的创作审美理念成立的平衡点。LimboLimbs 对于音乐的概念是自我的，却并不私人化，她喜欢带给大家趣味性和幽默感，通过音乐讲述荒诞故事是她的心灵寄托。今年刚刚发行她的首张EP。

作为 DJ，常年活跃于音乐节及地下俱乐部等各种场景。擅长演绎有戏剧感和攻击性的音乐。她同时也是极恶高速派对 “干瞪眼Helplessly” 的组织者。

LimboLimbs, music producer from Eating Music (Shanghai). She is talented at mixing jazz elements and sampling the strange sounds to her works. Her tastes are sometimes variable and sometimes stubborn, hovering between the old school and the new, and constantly explores the balance point between where her aesthetic ideas can be established. LimboLimbs' concept of music is personal but not selfish. She likes to bring fun and humor to people, and telling absurd stories through music is her spiritual sustment. As a DJ, she has been active in music festivals and underground clubs. She specializes in dramatic and aggressive style. She is also the organiser of a high-bpm club night called "Helplessly".

Uan

Uan是一位独立艺术家，主要以装置、动态图像和表演为创作媒介，从事艺术和时尚约10年，现居上海。

自中央圣马丁女装毕业后，曾在T杂志、VOGUE、Bazaar时尚、Instyle、GQ等多家媒体和品牌、舞台和视频担任艺术总监。同时，她以视觉艺术家、装置艺术家和表演者的身份活跃在艺术展览、俱乐部文化、时装秀等多维舞台上。Uan的作品以角色扮演/魔幻/神秘/虚拟偶像/情色/机器人为特征，探索视听、表演和装置艺术的交叉点，指研究这些艺术形式的交叉点，重点关注如何将它们结合起来，创造创新和沉浸式的艺术体验, 刺激超真实的感官之旅。

Uan is an independent artist, mainly using installation, moving images and performance as creative media, engaged in art and fashion for about 10 years, and now lives in Shanghai. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins Womenswear, She worked as an art director for various media and brands, stages and videos, T Magazine, VOGUE, Bazaar fashion, Instyle, GQ etc. Meanwhile, she is active as a visual artist, installation maker and performer in art exhibitions, club culture, fashion shows and other multi-dimensional stages. 

Uan's works are characterized by a kind of role-playing/magical/occult/virtual idol/eroticism/cyborg, exploring the Intersections of Audio-Visual, Performance, and Installation Art, refer to investigate the intersections of these forms of art, with a focus on how they can be combined to create innovative and immersive art experiences. to stimulate hyper-real sensory trips.

Zhu Jinkun

本科毕业于中国美术学院跨媒体艺术学院。他聚焦庞杂的网络社会，揭示媒体与科技权威下的光晕，并以其中的怪象回应或颠覆现实。在全球互联网语境中，身份、社群与文化边限已然消融破碎，这块板结被打开时诞生的矛盾与冲突，在现实与虚构之间轮番上演。艺术家将捕获到的的异化与怪诞进行另类的实验，将被遮掩的真实以计算机作为手段重新拓扑与映射返回网络社会。

他的创作涉及影像、装置、声音等，常以诙谐的手段消解过于严肃的命题。2023年初驻留于阿那亚艺术中心。作品曾展出于660 Madison Avenue, COMA Gallery, 威尼斯军械库，浙江美术馆、马丁·戈雅生意、chiK11美术馆、油罐艺术中心，西岸美术馆，刘海粟美术馆，CEF实验影像中心等。

在不断的信息浸润与数据刺痛中，短暂抛开混乱的网络与现实，他以主理人的身份发起了THERAVADA的概念并展开新的尝试，同时担任马丁·戈雅生意旗下跨媒体厂牌V33N0的联合主理。

Graduated from the School of Intermedia Art, China Academy of Art. He focuses on the complex network society, reveals the halo under the authority of media and technology, and responds to or subverts reality with the weirdness in it. In the context of the global Internet, the boundaries of identity, community, and culture have melted and broken, and the contradictions and conflicts born when this knot was opened are staged in turn between reality and fiction. The artist conducts alternative experiments on the captured alienation and grotesque and uses computer as a means to retopology and map the concealed reality back to the network society.

His creation involves video, installation, sound, etc., and he often uses humorous to dissolve overly serious propositions. Residency at Aranya Art Center in early 2023. His works have been exhibited at 660 Madison Avenue, COMA Gallery, Venice Armory, Zhejiang Art Museum, MARTIN GOYA BUSINESS, chiK11 Art Museum, TANK ART Shanghai, West Bund Art Museum, Liu Haisu Art Museum, CEF Experimental Image Center, etc.

MARTIN GOYA BUSINESS is a mysterious creature born in the Post-Southern Song Dynasty. It is the fantastic illusion of gathering in the dark, a hidden place for cats. MARTIN GOYA is a black cat. The name is derived from the scene in the Hollywood movie “SPY” (2015) that an FBI agent fabricated a pseudonym for himself by combining a pet's name with a home address. 

MARTIN GOYA BUSINESS was founded in 2017, as a pioneering platform that advocates for alternative youth culture. Setting itself apart from existing art systems, it is committed to promoting and supporting the diverse practice and exploration of emerging local artists. Martin Goya Business closely aligns with today’s trends and avant-garde fashion, shaping and leading a new visual and cultural scene with its unique vibe.

 MARTIN GOYA BUSINESS has become one of the most different Chinese local organisations/crew since established. MGB has curated over 80 events and exhibitions across the world including cities like Hangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Paris, Sydney and New York. Collaborated with over 400 creators including artists, curators, writers, designers musicians and actors. By working collectively with art museums, art agencies, music labels, and fashion media, MGB is growing slowly with Hangzhou as a starting point.

V33N0 is the label powered by MARTIN GOYA BUSINESS, run by Zhu Jinkun, Taoph, and Limbolimbs. V33N0 (VNO) is a pair of specialised chemical receptors that exist only in animals such as cats, human fetuses, and newborns.

V33N0 aims to use its instinctive perception to sense similar pheromones and roam from the virtual space of THEfART. It is good at using digital and offline parties to invade clubs, galleries, museums and other venues with musicians and artists. Its 14-hour online party series "Digital Jungle" has been exhibited in Venice, New York, and Sydney. V33N0 has also curated several offline events in Hangzhou, Shanghai and Hong Kong. V33N0 will continue to invite interdisciplinary and cross-media creatures to present parties, exhibitions, and more unknowns in the future.

Connections through Culture Grants

中英文化连线(Connections through Culture Grants) 项目由英国文化教育协会创办，旨在推动中英两国创意及文化从业者之间的合作。自2006年至今，通过促成合作关系及提供发展基金，已支持逾400多家中英文化艺术机构及个人达成互访、交流及合作。

CtC以灵活有效的支持方式，在中英社会经济合作发展的大背景下，呼应两国文化艺术业内不断更新变化的需求，鼓励那些积极回应全球挑战 - 如包容、性别平等及可持续发展等领域的新合作项目。

Since 2006 the British Council has run a well-established UK-China Connections through Culture (CtC) programme, which enables collaboration between creative and cultural professionals in China and the UK. Through brokering connections and offering development grants, CtC has enabled over 400 creative and cultural professionals to see one another's work, exchange skills and co-develop projects.

CtC is designed to be agile, responding to changing sector needs and the wider socio-economic context within the UK and China, and encouraging new collaborations which respond to global challenges such as inclusion, sustainability, and gender equality.
